Here is exactly what happens to your money when you book a trip on WataSeat — in plain words.
When you book
Your card is not charged. Stripe places a temporary hold for the booking amount. You may see it as "pending" in your banking app — no money has left your account.
When the trip fills
The moment the trip reaches its minimum number of seats, all held cards are charged. This is the only moment you actually pay.
If the trip doesn't fill
If the trip never reaches its minimum, it is cancelled and the hold on your card is released automatically — you are never charged. Depending on your bank, the pending amount can take a few days to disappear.
If the captain cancels the trip
If the captain cancels the trip for any reason — including weather or safety — you get everything back, always:
- If your card was already charged, you receive a full refund. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- If your card was only on hold, the hold is released and you were never charged.
If you cancel or don't show up
Bookings are final. Guest cancellations and no-shows are not refundable. Book a seat only when you're sure you can make the trip.

إليك بالضبط ما يحدث لأموالك عند حجز رحلة عبر واتاسيت — بكلمات واضحة.
عند الحجز
لا يُخصم أي مبلغ من بطاقتك. تضع Stripe حجزاً مؤقتاً بقيمة الحجز. قد يظهر لديك بوصفه «معلّقاً» في تطبيق البنك — ولم يخرج أي مبلغ من حسابك.
عند اكتمال الرحلة
لحظة بلوغ الرحلة الحد الأدنى من المقاعد، تُخصم جميع البطاقات المحجوزة. هذه هي اللحظة الوحيدة التي تدفع فيها فعلاً.
إذا لم تكتمل الرحلة
إذا لم تبلغ الرحلة حدها الأدنى، تُلغى ويُرفع الحجز عن بطاقتك تلقائياً — ولا يُخصم منك شيء إطلاقاً. وبحسب بنكك، قد يستغرق اختفاء المبلغ المعلّق بضعة أيام.
إذا ألغى القبطان الرحلة
إذا ألغى القبطان الرحلة لأي سبب — بما في ذلك الأحوال الجوية أو السلامة — تستعيد كامل أموالك دائماً:
- إذا كان قد خُصم المبلغ من بطاقتك، تحصل على استرداد كامل. يظهر الاسترداد عادةً في كشف حسابك خلال 5 إلى 10 أيام عمل بحسب البنك.
- إذا كان المبلغ محجوزاً فقط، يُرفع الحجز ولم يُخصم منك شيء أصلاً.
إذا ألغيت أنت أو لم تحضر
الحجوزات نهائية. لا تُسترد المبالغ في حال إلغاء الضيف أو عدم حضوره. احجز مقعدك فقط عندما تكون متأكداً من قدرتك على الحضور.
